Miss Grand South Africa finalist gives a helping hand to the needy
Their first stop was at the Silver Spoon, where they split half of the meals with the organisation, which serves up to 350 individuals per week.
Miss Grand SA finalist and beauty queen, Sharnè Dheochand, took to the streets of Newcastle last week to help feed her local community.
Sharnè described the experience as being nothing short of a fantastic day, spreading love and kindness in the community.
“We served pasta salad and rolls to support those in need as well as to our local hardworking car guards,” she said.
Their first stop was at the Silver Spoon, where they shared half the portions with the organisation which feeds up to 350 people a week.
Thereafter, they continued to joyfully distribute the remaining foof to grateful local car guards around the central business district.
“I couldn’t have accomplished this without the generous support of Pick n Pay Pioneer Park for providing containers and Round Table for assisting in the distribution. Together, we’re striving to create a more vibrant community for everyone,” Sharnè concluded.
