Esperanza’s Annual Amazing race 2024
- May 4: Esperanza Special Needs School will host its annual Amazing Race at 09:00 at 11 Rietbok Street in Hutten Heights from 09:00.
Registration will cost R1 000 for a team of five people.
There will be loads of prizes to be won on the day.

Newcastle organisation for the Aged (NOFTA) to host Mother’s Day dinner and dance
- May 11: NOFTA will celebrate Mother’s Day in style with dazzle, glitz and glamour at the NOFTA Service Centre at 7B Nightingale Street, Lennoxton at 17:30 for 18:00.
Guests can look forward to a sumptuous three course meal and live entertainment set in eighties style, ballroom and bhangra as well as the crowning of the 2024 NOFTA’s Glamorous Mother.
Admission will cost R150 per adult.

Ward 3 Family Fun Day
- June 15: Ward 3 will host a family fun day with soccer, an obstacle course, board games and Thunee.
Vital check ups can be done at the clinic and there will also be a blood bank, stalls, music and much more at the Fernwood Sports Ground from 08:30 am.
Registration for soccer teams closes on June 10.

The competition format will be a two ball – better ball.
