Mthombeni Foundation gives back to Thubelihle Special School

Making sure that no 'girl child' has to miss school

The Mthombeni Foundation visited Thubelihle Special School on Monday (May 13) to donate sanitary pads to the female learners.

The initiative was aimed at showing the learners love, even though they live with different disabilities, and to remind them that they are loved and thought of. The foundation strongly believes that no ‘girl child’ should miss school because they don’t have sanitary pads, as everyone in our country has the right to education.

The Mthombeni Foundation also invited representatives from Ladysmith SAPS, Lifeline PMB, the Department of Correctional Services, and KZN Liquor Authority to accompany them. This is because they work closely with these organisations when they visit schools, because they all care about the betterment of the youth.
