Join the elderly for World Knit Day

Bring along your knitting or crocheting project and a plate of snacks to share

A group of ladies meet in the Juana Maria Frail Aged Home lounge to knit and crochet every Friday morning.

However, with ‘Worldwide Knit in Public Day’ coming up on Saturday, the ladies have decided to make a special day of it on June 8.

They are inviting members of the community to join them between 10:00 and 13:00 in the lounge for an opportunity to share ideas, chat and learn from each other while they work on their individual projects.

Don’t forget to bring your non-knitting family, including the children, to see the Christian Motorcyclist Association and enjoy a free cup of coffee across the road at the bookshop. The bookshop will be open on Saturday, as usual, and you can start the morning off by browsing around there from 09:00.
