Lovely surprise for Ladysmith Hospice

The local church took it upon themselves to show appreciation for all the love, care and patience

The Society of St Vincent De Paul Church, together with its volunteers, surprised the caregivers of Ladysmith Hospice yesterday (June 5).

The church members visited Hospice with a cake and cool-drink. Speeches were given and lots of ‘thank you’ messages were conveyed.

The gesture was to show appreciation to the Hospice caregivers for all the hard work, love and patience they have for the community.

“The Ladysmith Hospice team is very grateful to St Vincent Church, as this was the first time anyone has done anything like this for us. It made us all feel very special. We are happy that we are being acknowledged for the work we do,” said Hospice manager Jennifer Rehman.
