Newcastle Advertiser hosts successful Period Poverty Drive initiative

Today (September 12), Advertiser staff delivered over 300 packs of sanitary pads as well as 100 bottles of Antiperspirant roll-ons to Dedangifunde High School in Madadeni Section 7.

The Newcastle Advertiser, in conjunction with Miss Grand SA 2024 winner Sharne Dheochand, set out to assist local girls in need of sanitary items by hosting a Period Poverty Drive during August.

“We would like to thank each and every person who contributed towards this project ensuring a successful handover. Without your support, this would not have been possible.”

The Newcastle Advertiser will be hosting drives such as this regularly – so follow our social media platforms to see what we will be doing next.
