Suspect nabbed for possession of stolen goods

A man was arrested for the possession of stolen goods, including building materials, during a police operation in Osizweni on Tuesday, October 22.

Following up on information related to a murder case, the intelligence-driven operation included members of the Amajuba District Task Team and Osizweni SAPS Crime Prevention members.

A residence was identified in the East Born Farm area.

The house was searched which led to the discovery of building materials or goods believed to have been stolen.

The 26-year-old man in the house was arrested when he failed to explain to police how the items had come into his possession.

The value of the recovered good was estimated at R3000.

The suspect will soon appear in the Madadeni Court.
