Ikwezi Mining Services staff unites to fight cancer
In support of Cancer Awareness Month, employees at Ikwezi Mining Services and Sinethuba Plant Hire Equipment came together in a bid to fight the disease.
To raise funds, staff baked and donated delicious treats which they sold to colleagues and visitors.
Staff volunteered their time to help organise and facilitate this fundraising event, ensuring a successful day.
The staff’s collective efforts resulted in sufficient funds being raised for cancer awareness, which will support patient care and services.
“Ikwezi Mining has always been supportive of important causes. I’m proud to work with such caring colleagues,” said Nazmeera Latiff.
Another staff member, Madelene Barkley, commented that ‘seeing everyone come together for cancer awareness was truly inspiring. We made a difference.’
The management and leadership of Ikwezi Mining extend their sincerest appreciation to all staff members and sponsors who contributed to this worthy cause.
The sponsors of the day were as follows:
- Gonna Print,
- Madam X Décor,
- Mandeep (Paris),
- Nerines Luscious Creations,
- AME,
- Sumayya Yoonus Cakes,
- Khans Bakery,
- Mahindra Newcastle,
- Tyremart Newcastle,
- Blue Seal Engineering,
- Enstar, and

“Your dedication, compassion, and generosity are truly valued. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer.”
