Monthly Farmers’ Market supports small business
The monthly Farmers’ Market hosted at The Barn took place on Saturday, February 1.
Event organiser, Erna de Jager, said she started the Farmers’ Market last November in order to provide a venue to famers to sell their fresh produce directly to consumers.
De Jager encourages all small business owners who grow their own produce or produce home-made goods to host a stall at the monthly Farmers’ Market at no cost.
“The idea is for residents to be able to come out once a month and buy things you won’t find in the shops,” she said.
The date of the next market will be announced in due course.
