The officer claimed that the deceased was holding the firearm when the shot was fired

A man tragically died on Saturday after an alleged accidental shooting involving a police service firearm.
According to the police officer involved, both the officer and the deceased had been drinking alcohol in Mondlo when the deceased asked to touch the officer’s firearm. For safety, the officer removed the magazine from the gun.
The officer claimed that the deceased was holding the firearm when the shot was fired, killing him instantly. Unbeknownst to both parties, there was still one bullet in the chamber when the gun went off.
