Successful mass drive to highlight crime prevention

According to AfriForum, everyone participated with a positive attitude and with the same goal in mind

AfriForum’s Vryheid branch organised a mass patrol through town on Friday to create awareness and fight against crime. Called ‘Operation Freedom Protect’, it was a national patrol under AfriForum’s ‘Operation Grey Moon’ initiative.
Role-players who participated in the event included the local traffic department, RTI, fire department, ambulance services, breakdowns, Road Angels as well as several armed response units.
The convoy met at Wimpy, from where they made their way through town with loud sirens.
According to AfriForum, everyone participated with a positive attitude and with the same goal in mind – to keep Vryheid safe and to illustrate that all role-players work together in unity.
