Ferrum High School faced off against Ladysmith High School on Saturday, May 17, in a spirited day of sport that saw Ferrum secure several impressive victories across hockey and rugby fixtures.

Girls’ hockey results:

• Under 14: Ferrum dominated with a 7–0 win. Player of the Match: Milani Ngangiwe
• Under 15: Ferrum claimed a confident 6–0 victory. Players of the Match: Chenique Marais and Danika Dirks
• First Team: Ferrum triumphed 4–0. Player of the Match: Amelie van Niekerk

Boys’ hockey results:

• Second Team: Narrow 0–1 loss. Player of the Match: Olwethu Mnguni
• First Team: Lost 1–2 in a closely contested match

Rugby results:

• Under 14: Won 26–10. Player of the Match: Mpilo Khumalo
• Under 15: Won 36–7. Player of the Match: Jiovanni Horn
• Under 16: Won 39–5. Player of the Match: Juvan Malony
• Second Team: Achieved a dominant 63–0 victory. Players of the Match: Aphiwe Dube and Rohandre Geyser
• First Team: Secured a 48–37 win in a thrilling game. Players of the Match: Xander Dirks and Bandile Khumalo
