Video: Learners travelling long distances will now have bicycles to get to and from school.
It was all smiles as IFP Youth Brigade chairperson, PR Cllr Ntuthuko Thabede, handed over 50 bicycles to learners at Incinjane High School today (June 6).
This school is located in the rural Pieters area (Ward 8) under Alfred Duma Local Municipality.
The initiative, sponsored by the Durban Overall factory, aims to support learners and promote education.

Thabede said that, “As we celebrate Youth Month, we reaffirm the commitment to empowering young people through various activities. This gesture demonstrates our dedication to making a positive impact in the community.”
Durban Overall’s Mr Corne Stevens said that since they are a clothing factory that employs almost 2000 people from in and around Ladysmith, part of their objective is to look after their communities. “Together with the Rotary Social Club, we have distributed about 1000 bicycles in different schools around Ladysmith. Durban Overall believes in country, we believe in our people, and we believe we can make a difference,” said Stevens.
On behalf of the learners, Bonga Miya thanked Durban Overall for their kind gesture.
