Cash, phones stolen in brazen Pioneer Park Pick n Pay robbery
A gang of six armed men stormed the Pick n Pay on John Parks Road in Pioneer Park early yesterday morning (June 22) , fleeing with cash, staff cellphones, and a hard drive.
The robbery took place shortly after staff began their shift.
The suspects gained entry through a rear delivery door and ordered all employees to lie down while they confiscated their cellphones.
An on-site security guard was forced to cut the CCTV cables, disabling the store’s surveillance system before the suspects made their escape.
The gang fled in a Suzuki vehicle with Gauteng registration plates.
Police have not yet confirmed the full registration details.
A case has been opened, and investigations are underway. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that may assist in tracking down the suspects.
