Church donates school shoes to needy children
Instead of the usual seminar for 'Men's Month', the men of the church decided to help learners at a local school.
July being ‘Men’s Month’, various organisations have been holding gatherings in honour of men since the beginning of the month. Among these organisations are churches, who host seminars on issues relating to men.
With this in mind, the Methodist Church of Southern Africa (under the Driefontein Circuit) decided to do something a bit different and donate shoes to a deserving school.
The church held an outreach programme at the Kleinfontein Society on Sunday.
The Amadodana (men of the church) donated 20 pairs of shoes to needy learners at Inkuthu Primary School.
Under the guidance of research convener Smangaliso Khoza, the theme of the day was derived from Hebrews 13:16, “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
