Moon walk for charity in October

Something NEW is coming to Ladysmith! For the very first time, Juana Maria Frail Aged Home invites you to join them for a magical 5km Full Moon Walk – under the glowing moonlit night sky, in the breathtaking bush veld surroundings of Platrand Lodge.

Don’t miss this first-of-its-kind event in Ladysmith – come walk, laugh and shine with them under the full moon!

Bring the family, challenge your friends and classmates, or make it a team-building adventure with your co-workers – because this is more than just a walk, it’s an experience! Every step you take helps Juana Maria continue caring for the residents.

Where: Platrand Lodge, at the dam (follow the signs to the parking area)
When: Tuesday, October 7, 2025
Time: 18:30 for 19:00 start
Cost: R50 pp / R30 (ages 6–12)

What to expect:

A beautiful 5km walk under the full moon.
Full ablution facilities at the dam.
Delicious hamburgers, cool drinks and glow sticks for sale.
Music and a festive atmosphere.
Registration and tickets available at the dam on the evening of the walk.
