Mieke shines as she wins Miss Teen Universal SA

Glittering local teenager, Mieke Janse van Rensburg, recently competed in the Miss Teen South Africa pageant on October 4 in Gauteng.
Competition was tight.
Despite tough competition, Mieke surpassed her own and everybody else’s expectations by taking the title of Miss Teen Universal South Africa and Miss Supreme Queen 2nd Princess 2025.
The Miss Teen Universal title means Mieke will be representing South Africa on the international stage in Turkey in 2026.
Shot nerves and stress did not deter her from doing her best. Well prepared, Mieke was excited to see how pageants were done on a bigger, national stage.
“All glory to God for being by my side,” Mieke said.
She also thanked her parents, family, friends, Ferrum High School, local businesses, and the whole of the Newcastle community for being her rock during this life changing competition.
Mieke admitted that Miss Teen South Africa was definitely a learning curve, but that she is ready to make her supporters and country proud.
