Update on Klip River pump station repairs

Water-shedding will continue daily from 19:00 to 05:00 until the repairs are complete.

uThukela District Municipality would like to inform Ladysmith residents that the Klip River Pump Station is undergoing repairs following an unplanned mechanical failure. Equipment and procurement processes are currently underway to complete the repairs. As a result, the volume of water pumped from the Ladysmith plant remains reduced.

To prevent the command reservoir from running empty, water-shedding will continue daily from 19:00 to 05:00.

The following high-lying and surrounding areas will be affected: Egerton, Observation Hill, Mkhamba Gardens/Modelkloof, Limit Hill, Steadville, Golf Course, Danskraal Industrial, and St Chad’s.
