Drive More Safely launches new rider safety initiative

Drive More Safely launches a new campaign to improve safety among delivery motorcycle riders.

Drive More Safely NPO will launch the ‘Be Responsible’ initiative on Friday, aimed at promoting safe and responsible behaviour among delivery motorcycle riders on the roads.

Public reporting system introduced

This programme will educate and empower delivery riders to make safer choices while performing their deliveries. A WhatsApp number will allow the public to report concerns, commend good behaviour or raise complaints. All data will be recorded and at the end of January, riders with no complaints will receive a food parcel incentive to support their families.

How riders join the programme

Riders with the ‘Be Responsible’ sticker will be registered in the programme. If successful, this initiative will continue to encourage safe practices on our roads.

Community invited to support the initiative

“Participate and help make our roads safer.” For more information or to partner with the organisatiion, contact Alida Venter on 061 428 5231.
