Watch: Ladysmith Cross of Hope shines the way on R103

We now have a cross shining in the name of Jesus, again providing new hope for Ladysmith and passing travellers.

The Cross of Hope for Ladysmith was built by a handful of local Christians. It is situated on the R103 just as you approach the RTI offices at the Bergville turn-off.

It was put up to show the ‘Way’ for passing motorists and is even illuminated at night. The majority of work was done shortly before the start of the festive season holidays.

When asked if those who put it up wanted to be acknowledged, the unanimous response was, “There is only one Name to be mentioned and that is Jesus. The people involved are only followers of Jesus. No one else is worthy. Hope is found in no one else, except in Him. It was done so that all in Ladysmith and those who pass the cross will have hope for the future. All glory to Jesus, now in this season and forever.”

It was no easy task.
