Umzinyathi and Amajuba schools shine in 2025 matric results

KZN recorded the top matric results in the country and learners from the Umzinyathi and Amajuba districts have done their bit to ensure that the province was top of the class.

The Class of 2025 has delivered strong matric results across the Umzinyathi and Amajuba districts, reflecting the dedication of learners, educators and school communities.

The Umzinyathi District achieved an overall average pass rate of 88,8%, with several schools recording exceptional results.

Top performing schools in Umzinyathi include Enyanyeni, which achieved a 100% pass rate. Dundee High School followed closely with 95,2%, while Sarel Cilliers recorded 94,4%. Dundee Secondary School achieved 91,2%, and ML Sultan posted a strong 89,6%.

Other schools also performed commendably, with Ethangeni Combined School achieving 85%, Thalana Secondary School 82,8%, and Sebenza High School recording 81,4%.

In the Amajuba District, Siphuthando Primary Cooperative School (PC) in Dannhauser once again stood out by achieving a 100% pass rate for the seventh consecutive year. The school is the only school in the Amajuba District to have attained a 100% pass rate in the 2025 matric results.

Dannhauser Secondary School also delivered an excellent performance, achieving a 99% pass rate.

These results highlight the commitment and resilience of the Class of 2025, as well as the continued efforts of teachers, school management and parents.
