Dundee Pre-Primary learners enjoy fun-filled athletics day

Young learners embraced fitness and fun as they competed in a lively Derby Day athletics event.

Dundee Pre-Primary School hosted a lively athletics Derby Day at the Oval grounds last Wednesday, with learners enjoying a morning of fun, fitness and friendly competition.

Blessed with fine weather, the event saw 83 learners take part in a variety of races and games designed to keep them active while promoting healthy lifestyles.

Parents and teachers lined the sidelines throughout the morning, enthusiastically cheering on the young participants as they tackled the various activities with plenty of energy and excitement.

The event featured a range of age-appropriate races and fun-filled challenges, allowing every learner to participate and enjoy the spirit of the day.

Principal Brenda Viljoen said the athletics event formed part of the school’s ongoing efforts to encourage physical activity and healthy habits among learners from an early age.
