A vehicle caught on fire after colliding with a bakkie on victoria Street, earlier this afternoon.

A vehicle caught fire after colliding with a bakkie at the intersection of Victoria Street and Klipspringer Avenue earlier this afternoon (Wednesday, July 22).

Fortunately, no one was seriously injured.

Emergency services respond

Law enforcement agencies, including the Fire Department, Ambulance Services, the South African Police Service (SAPS) and Traffic responded to the scene.

Firefighters extinguished the flames while emergency personnel treated those involved for minor injuries.

Cause under investigation

The exact cause of the collision and the subsequent fire is not yet known. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
