There was an extra-special reason to smile at Juana Maria Frail Aged Home on Friday (August 14) as Desiree Botha celebrated her birthday surrounded by friends and family.

“A cherished regular at the Friday knitting group, Desiree chose to share her special day with the wonderful friends she has come to know at the home. Birthday cake and cupcakes were enjoyed by members of the knitting group, as well as the Rummicub players, as they gathered in the lounge,” said old age home manager Sanet McChlery.

The lounge was filled with the cheerful spirit of celebration as everyone enjoyed the delicious birthday treats. It was a simple yet meaningful gathering, made special by the friendship and companionship shared by everyone present.

Family makes the celebration special

Desiree’s loving husband Dwayne and her sister Arina were also there.

Their involvement added a wonderful family touch to the celebration and helped make Desiree’s birthday even more memorable.
