Vryheid High School recently showcased the incredible talent of its learners and fellow schools in NKZN and Mpumalanga through a spectacular concert and choir festival. Held on October 2-3 and the choir festival on October 4, the two-day concert left audiences in awe.

The choir festival brought together eight schools, namely: Vryheid High School, Landbou, Comprehensive High School, NRS, Dundee High School, Sarel Cilliers, Newcastle High School, and Piet Retief High School.
Each school’s choir performed choral music and traditional songs, showcasing their unique styles and harmonies. The festival fostered a sense of unity and friendly competition among the participating schools.
Vryheid High School’s choir conductor, Sandakahle Shabangu, praised the learners’ efforts, saying, “It is not easy working with 60+ kids, but the results are always fruitful.” Headmistress A Nel expressed her delight as she exclaimed, “I thoroughly enjoyed the performances. The talent and enthusiasm on display was truly inspiring.”
The concert and choir festival served as a testament to the power of teamwork, dedication and creative expression.
