St Dominics Newcastle is celebrating an outstanding sporting achievement as Grade 11 learner Abigale Meineke has been selected to represent South Africa at the upcoming World Championships in Mossel Bay this December.

Abigale, who competed for Team KwaZulu-Natal in Modern Pentathlon (Biathle – run, swim, run) at the South African Championships held in Nelspruit earlier this month, showcased exceptional talent, determination, and athletic ability.

Her remarkable performance earned her Protea Colours, marking a significant milestone in her sporting journey.

Modern Pentathlon, and specifically the Biathle event, demands versatility, endurance, and focus – qualities Abigale has displayed consistently throughout her training and competitions.

Balancing her academics with rigorous training sessions, she continues to set an inspiring example for her peers.
