Mastani Shaam – The Gold Edition: A Tribute to the Legends:

  • July 19: The Sat-Chit Ananda Temple Society of Newcastle invites the community to attend Mastani Shaam – The Gold Edition, a spectacular musical evening paying tribute to the legends of Indian music.

The event will take place from 18:00 on Saturday, July 19, at the Status Hall, 10 Hill Street. Audiences can look forward to a vibrant line-up featuring: Meelan Pather, Renisha Autar and Nikita Salik, Neeran Maharaj, Rakesh Sewnath, Devanand Sewpersad, Dharam Maharaj, Nikisha Bhagwandeen, Kiran Bhagwandeen, P.K Soni, Nikay Lakhan, Sunitha Maharaj.

Photoshoots and a tuckshop will be available on the night.

NSST invites devotees to Mariamman Prayers:

  • July 25 to July 27: The Newcastle Siva Subramanian Temple (NSST) warmly invites the community to attend the annual Mariamman Prayers from Friday, July 25.

The spiritual observances will begin with the flag hoisting ceremony at 17:00 on July 25, followed by the changing of the sacred thali at 15:00 on Saturday, July 26.

The main Mariamman and Madurai Veeran Prayer will take place on Sunday, July 27, at 09:00.All devotees are welcome to attend and share in this sacred occasion with their families.

Bra’s & Bra’s Golf Day:

  • September 13: The Lions Club International invites the community to tee off in support of breast cancer awareness at the annual Bra’s & Bra’s Golf Day on Saturday, September 13, at the Newcastle Golf Club.

This exciting event will follow the 2 Ball Better Ball format and promises a memorable day on the greens. The cost is R300 per player and includes a goodie bag and a meal.

All golfers and supporters are encouraged to join in this charitable initiative, combining fun with a meaningful cause.
