The Newcastle Organisation for the Aged (NOFTA) hosted the much-anticipated Newcastle Diwali Committee’s Diwali Celebrations on Saturday (October 11) at the NOFTA Hall.

The day began with a Hawan ceremony, conducted by local pundits, followed by a lively cultural programme featuring Bhajans, traditional dances, and entertaining sketches that kept the crowd engaged throughout the day.

As evening approached, attendees enjoyed a deliciously prepared supper, accompanied by further entertainment and warm socialising among family and friends before the celebration drew to a close.

The committee extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the day, expressing appreciation for the community’s continued support and participation.
