Old Safari golfers enjoy a sunny day out on the greens

Adding to the day's excitement, the Old Safari players proudly sported their new red T-shirts while showing off their golfing skills.

Dozens of local golfers flocked to the Newcastle Golf Club this past Saturday to enjoy a warm and sunny day out on the greens.

The warm atmosphere was perfectly paired with ice-cold beverages and great camaraderie among friends as they competed in a friendly game to see who ultimately had the best shot.

The results for the day were as follows:

  • First place: Brandt van den Berg with 42 points
  • Second place: Leon Rothman with 40 points
  • Third place: Louis Scott with 36 points
  • Fourth place: Arthur Maartens with 35 points
  • Fifth place: Dick Lemmer with 34 points
  • Krommannetjie: Ryno De Vos with 15 points

The 2024 line-up of club-sponsored and business-sponsored competitions will be made available soon.
