Ladysmith AC remains consistent throughout NFWAA League Season

The PRO congratulated Ladysmith on retaining the league title for three successive seasons.

The last outing of the NFWAA Atlas Towlines League proved to be the toughest, as the fish were playing hardball and testing the anglers’ patience.

An all-time low of 85 points was accumulated by the eight clubs for this outing.

Ladysmith once again proved too strong for the opposition, scoring a total of 29 points, followed by Ace Aqua and Itec Freespool with 13 points each.

Chelmsford narrowly edged Docrats for fourth place, followed by Endumeni, Glencoe, and Riverside.

Amir Pooni of Chelmsford won the prize for the heaviest carp with a 3.73, while Zaakir Bobat of Endumeni won the prize for the non-scaled category.

Both winners received a miniature trophy as well as R250 cash and compliments from Atlas Towlines.

The final league standings are as follows:

  • Ladysmith: 94
  • Itec Freespool: 81
  • Docrats: 64
  • Chelmsford: 62
  • Ace Aqua: 49
  • Endumeni: 32
  • Glencoe: 30
  • Riverside: 18

The last outing for the season, the Champions Cup, will be fished between Ladysmith and Itec Freespool at Richgate Park.
