Camaraderie and competition chine at NHK Golf Day

The Newcastle Golf Club was abuzz with activity on Saturday, May 10, as local golfers teed off for the NHK-sponsored golf day, which ran alongside the monthly Old Safari players’ competition.

The atmosphere was lively with laughter, friendly banter, and refreshing beverages as golfers enjoyed a relaxed yet competitive round. The iconic red shirts of the Old Safari players added a vibrant touch to the greens, even as gusty winds tested their skills.

Despite the windy conditions, spirits remained high and the competition was fierce. The day wrapped up with well-deserved recognition for top scorers in the Individual Point Scoring (IPS) format:

Results:

  1. Z. Chen – 37 points (on count-out)
  2. Sheng-Po Tseng – 37 points (on count-out)
  3. Ronnel Singh – 35 points
  4. Prem Singh – 34 points (on count-out)
  5. Jeff Fenton – 34 points (on count-out)

A big thank you to NHK and all involved for a memorable day of sport and fellowship.
