Zim Stars beat Newcastle Legends 3–2 in the RBCA Chartered Accountant Super League, while Osizweni stunned Rovers with a 1–0 win. Read more here:

The RBCA Chartered Accountant Super League delivered another exciting weekend of football as the fierce rivalry between Zim Stars and Newcastle Legends lived up to expectations.

Both teams were determined to claim bragging rights, with pride and glory at stake.

Zim Stars made a strong start, unsettling the Legends’ defence and taking the lead midway through the first half.

Although the Legends began to find some rhythm, they failed to create meaningful chances, and Zim Stars doubled their advantage before half-time.

The Legends pulled a goal back early in the second half, sparking hopes of a comeback.

However, the introduction of younger and faster players by Zim Stars unsettled the Legends, and the Stars restored their two-goal cushion with a third strike. Despite tiring legs, the

Legends rallied to score again, but Zim Stars held on for a hard-fought 3–2 victory.

In the following fixture, unbeaten Rovers dominated possession but were stunned when a youthful Osizweni side struck first.

Rovers pressed hard for an equaliser but could not break through, leaving Osizweni to claim a memorable 1–0 win.

The RBCA Chartered Accountant Super League, in partnership with the Newcastle Social Soccer League, will host an 11-a-side football tournament in November to further promote the sport locally.
