Vryheid Bowling Club – Victory at the Open Fours

THE MIDWEEK League that started in February came to an end in Pongola last week.
Vryheid was well represented with four teams participating. Finally, Pongola won the cup, Mahawahne came second and the Dundee A Team third.
Last Saturday and Sunday, the KZNCB Open Fours Playoffs were held in Piet Retief. Congratulations to our Vryheid men, Hogart; Phillip; Soon and Harald for winning.
In second place was the other Northern’s team from Newcastle.
The ladies’ winners were Barbara, Irene, Lizzy and Charmaine from Ladysmith.
Well done to our ladies’ team of Ilva, Benita, Noellene and Estelle, who came third.
Please mark July 9 in your calendar. A special General Meeting is being called for that date and will be held at the club at 5:00pm to discuss changing our club crest/logo and new club shirts.
To Reini, Robert, Max and Kobie, we hope you are recovering your health and strength and that we will see you on the green soon.
