The Northern-Natal hockey ladies participated in the South African Country Districts Tournament held in Limpopo from June 28 to July 5.The team consisted of ladies from Dundee, Newcastle and Utrecht.
After playing against some very tough teams from all over the country, the ladies managed to achieve third place and the team was awarded a bronze medal.
Five of the ladies, namely Marelie Devereaux, Leonie Lens, Michelle Visser, Wilma Philips and Anina Webb, were selected for the SACD team, due to participate in the IPT tournament to be held in PMB in August.
Thank you to all the supporters, and most of all to the following sponsors: Vlam, Aon, Arl Promotions, Factory Plaza, Konica Minolta, 360 Solutions, Greenhough, McHardy & Jones, and Kirsty Smith. Without your sponsorship the tour could not have been such a great success.
The ladies would also like to thank their Manager, Sonja Kelbrick, for all her hard work and dedication – it was very much appreciated!
Let’s hope next year will be an even greater success than this year!
