A decade of charity cycling

The dads and some moms arrived in Estcourt on Friday afternoon to rest and revive at Blue Haze Country Lodge before embarking on the next leg of their journey on Saturday morning

Ten years ago a group of dads from Johannesburg decided to embark on an epic fundraising ride. They mounted their bicycles and travelled from Johannesburg to Durban, covering a total of 668km.

Their aim was to raise funds for charities and thus far the dads have raised close to R4 million for the Sunflower Fund, Fulton School for the Deaf, the Gauteng Down Syndrome Association (DSA), and The CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation. The dads and some moms arrived in Estcourt on Friday afternoon to rest and revive at Blue Haze Country Lodge before embarking on the next leg of their journey on Saturday morning.
