Cops hit bull’s eye at shooting champs

Sergeant Dave Warmenhoven and Sergeant Marc Potas are our very own shooting champions.  From September 18 to 28, the duo from Ladysmith SAPS were in Bloemfontein to take part in the SANDF Championships.

Pitting their skills against 260 other competitors, Sgt Warmenhoven and Sgt Potas won six medals each. Sgt Warmenhoven achieved one gold, two silver and three bronze medals, while Sgt Potas achieved two gold, one silver and three bronze medals.

Sergeant Warmenhoven was placed in the top 100 overall in the competition for SAPS (KZN).  “It was a tough championship due to the windy and dry conditions, but we are grateful that we came back home with medals,” said a smiling Sergeant Potas.

They are to be congratulated on making Ladysmith proud!
