Imbabazane team wins DA soccer tournament

The Democratic Alliance organised a 'Gogo' soccer tournament that took place on Saturday at the Forderville sports grounds

The Democratic Alliance organised a ‘Gogo’ soccer tournament that took place on Saturday at the Forderville sports grounds. This is the fourth year we have done so.

11 teams committed to attend, but as usual there was some erosion and four teams did not turn up. Despite this, all had a lot of fun, judging by the shouting going on. The tournament was attended by a number of DA councillors from surrounding towns as well as a DA Member of Parliament, Mr Alf Lees, who handed out the prizes to the winners.

The winning team was from Ward 11 in Imbabazane. Thanks to all the businesses and farmers who donated products so generously that we could make up a food parcel or each of the players.
