Paintball warriors wage war again
The match was based on the movie ‘Monuments Men’

Paintballers had another great time “shooting it up” on Saturday morning at ‘The Arena’ on the N11. The match was based on the movie ‘Monuments Men’, in which a group of Allied soldiers are tasked with locating and recovering lost artwork and treasures from marauding Nazis.
The premise of the movie, which takes place during World War II, is that Nazis have stolen countless pieces of art and hidden them away. Historians, architects and other experts then form a unit to retrieve as many of the stolen masterpieces as possible.
The mission becomes even more urgent when the team learns about Hitler’s ‘Nero Decree’, which orders the destruction of the art pieces if the Third Reich falls. Caught in a race against time, the men risk their lives to protect some of mankind’s greatest achievements.
Flags were hoisted high on Saturday and then it was down to business as the players crouched and prowled in search of the art-stealing enemy. Smaller matches were also played before and after the main event.
Another match is planned to take place soon.
