As always, the event was very well supported and a great time was had by all.

The eventual winners of the tournament were the Wicket Wasps who were unbeaten the entire festival and beat King Superstars in the final. Well done, chaps!

As for our challenge in last week’s newspaper article, Mr X once again suffered middle order mayhem and lost to Wicket Wasps in their game. Mr X, the committee will be waiting for you on Saturday at Pick ‘n’ Pay for your team to partake in the Vryheid Herald shavathon!

This weekend’s fixtures are as follows: Saturday – Mr X vs Wicket Wasps 1:30pm and Sunday – Mr X vs Gladiators 9:30am. Both matches will take place at Cecil Emmett Park in Vryheid.
