Vryheid Squash Club – Teams find their feet on the courts
Please note that the Vryheid Squash Club AGM will be held on Wednesday, March 25 at 6:00pm at the club. We would like to request that all our members be present.
MUCH like the Cricket World Cup, the Squash World Cup is also still in the beginning stages.
Teams are still finding their feet in the new set-up, but the squash has been going well. Results from the first week are as follows: Tuesday, February 24: Sri Lanka beat New Zealand 12 – 6 and Australia beat India 12 – 4; Wednesday, February 25: Pakistan beat Bangladesh 11 – 9 and West Indies beat England 10 – 7. Next week’s fixtures are as follows: Tuesday, March 10: Bangladesh vs India and New Zealand vs West Indies; Wednesday, March 11: Pakistan vs Australia and England vs Sri Lanka.
