Springbok bowler in the making

Local lass Aimee Schnetler could represent South Africa at the Commonwealth Youth Games!

Aimee has been selected for a youth bowls squad from which the final team will be selected to represent SA at the games in Apia, Samoa, from September 5 to 11 this year.

A team consisting of one male and one female bowler will be announced on April 12.

These two individuals will compete in singles events and as a mixed gender pairs team at the games.

To have come this far at such a young age is a great achievement in itself, not to mention that she may well go on to play at the Commonwealth Games, it was reported in the Ladysmith Gazette
