Regional Age Group Swimming Champs this weekend
Swimmers with new kit about to compete in Durban
And so the 2014/2015 swimming season slowly comes to an end, with the last event on our calendar this weekend (March 27 to 29). Swimmers from Ladysmith Marlins Swimming Club will be in action at the SA Level 1 Regional Age Group Champs at the Kings Park Pool in Durban.
The swimmers had to swim qualifying times during the season to qualify for this event.
The 13 swimmers who will represent the club are: Tristian Byrne, JP du Plessis, Melindi Esterhuizen, Amy-Lee Fourie, Carla Fourie, Kian Fourie, Liam Fourie, Sarah Fourie, Katelin Hagemann, Ayanda Molefe, Justin van Vuuren, Hannah Varyawa and Layla Varyawa.
One of the highlights for our swimmers, before the champs, is to see if they will get anything to take with them.
On Tuesday, the swimmers received bags filled with goodies from sponsors. We are so thankful to all the sponsors for this gesture! The club will mention them at a later stage and thank them.
We would like to wish all our swimmers the best for this big event. Just do your best and enjoy it!
