Anglers micro-manage their victories
Paper House emerged victorious at Richgate Park, thus earning itself the title of Angling Professional League champion.
The final round of the Vees Micro Enterprises League took place on March 29.

The team racked up 62 points, ahead of Team Streetwire (47 points).
Fishing People and NFH Super Stars were tied on 29 points, while individual accolades went to the top three angers, namely Kaveer Singh, Tony Singh and Monty Slabbert.
Kaveer finished as the orange cap, while Monty retained his hold on the purple cap as overall leader.
Title contenders for the season include:
· Tony Singh: heaviest scaled fish – 3,49kg
· Faizel Seedat: heaviest non-scaled fish – 3,69kg
· Shakeel Sheik and Kishore Datadin: heaviest scaly – 650g
· Monty Slabbert: highest points scorer – 28 points
· Shane Mangaroo: Champion of Champions
· Harry Singh: Knock Out Champion and Internal Knock Out Champion
· Monty Slabbert: League Champion
· Avi Buduram, Kameshen Govender and Preash Haripersad: Junior Angler of the Year
· Dan Govender: Senior Angler of the Year – 54 points
· Monty Slabbert: most fish caught – 50
· Rishen Nankoo and Minesh Gopi: Knock Out Doubles Champions – already crowned.
In the race for Angler of the Year, Monty Slabbert leads the pack on 105 points, followed by his closest rival in Ossie Oosthuizen on 87 points and Vicky Bhooli on 82 points.
The next competition of the APL is the Grand Challenge on April 12 at Sandford.
This will be followed by the Social Outing Championship on April 18 and 19, which is the fixture to mark the end of a very successful inaugural season for the APL.
August 1 will see the launch of the new season.
