On April 25, the two-nil score did not accurately reflect the true nature of the intense clash between the team of Ina Vorster, Hester Schutte and Trevor Smale against Val Durant and Mike Moller.
Ina’s team came out tops however.
Club management thanked Ina for her catering, and informed players, new and old, of the next monthly social to take place on May 30.
“All equipment is provided and no special clothing is required. Smart casual is acceptable,” explained Trevor Smale.
Other scheduled events for the club include the 2015 Senior Singles from June 8 to 12 (the first eight entries are being sought), the under-19 Scholars’ Special Singles between July 7 and 9 and the Open Singles Championships on August 8 and 9.
Cash prizes are up for grabs with these competitions.
