Vryheid Soccer Academy – Soccer spirit lives on in Vryheid
VSA has been through the ordeal of losing some of our most experienced players who left us and joined other teams. Nevertheless, the spirit of soccer continues in Vryheid and we have managed to pick up the pieces and move on. We have signed a couple of new fresh players and the progress is good.

After a long time we have been trying to rebuild our crippled team at Vryheid Soccer Academy, with the main aim of taking our young professionals from bad influences in our streets these days, by trying to explore their football talents and improving on those talents by giving them skills.

Juventus FC won the match in penalties.
On a chilly Saturday morning, Juventus FC from Lakeside hosted us on their home ground in our first away game since the beginning of the year. The game was not bad and both teams showed enthusiasm as they battled for the goals. VSA scored the first goal in the thirteenth minute. Juventus FC equalized in the twenty seventh minute. At half time the scores were level at 2-2. The second half went like a see saw with some rough tackles from both sides, resulting in one of the VSA players receiving a red card.
The game went on and the final score was 4-4. The game was decided on penalties and Juventus FC won 5-3 in penalties.
We would like to thank our young players for their good performance. This shows the spirit of soccer in Vryheid continues.
