Bowling action at Country Club
There was lots of applause and cheering as the 'woods' wound their way down the green towards the white ball

A Ladysmith Gazette journalist was on the spot to capture bowlers in action at the Ladysmith Country Club yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
The bowlers enjoyed catching some rays in the warm sun as they all vied for position closest to the jack (white ball). It was fierce competition and yet good camaraderie as the players happily mingled with one another.
There was lots of applause and cheering as the ‘woods’ wound their way down the green towards the jack, sometimes to land close and other times to dislodge their opponents’ bowls.
Some absolutely fantastic shots were played, making for an enjoyable afternoon of sporting action, followed by great fellowship in the clubhouse as usual.
