Golfers pursue perfection on the green

Amateur golfers from across Northern KwaZulu-Natal took part in the Youth Golf Day at Newcastle Golf Club on July 17.

Amateur golfers from across Northern KwaZulu-Natal took part in the Youth Golf Day at Newcastle Golf Club on July 17.

The coaching clinic commenced at 10.30am, after players were divided into four teams.

They received invaluable putting, clipping, driving and fitness training from skilled coaches, who assessed their every effort.

Each team was allocated half an hour each to soak up as much knowledge as possible, before switching stations.

The purpose of the clinic was to generate interest among younger players.

Pupils with a handicap rating were able to enjoy a round on the course. Dylan Grassmann walked away victorious, beating Cameron Gurr for the top spot.

Well done to all the players who participated in the coaching clinic and the Youth Golf Open.

A special thanks to all those who were instrumental in the planning and execution of the event!
