Mandla makes his mark against Mark

The Dundee Country Club would like to thank all those who braved the weather and played in the Monthly Mug on Saturday, July 25 in the form of an individual medal.

The prize winners were as follows: Mandla Mthetwa on 68 net followed by Mark Nero on 68 net and third went to Billy Francis on 69 net.

Sibusiso Sithole finished fourth on 70 net and Jo Khumalo finished fifth on 72 net. Best gross was carded by Billy Francis on 73 gross.

The jackpot was won by Mandla Mthetwa and Shakeel Kalideen on 11 points. The winner of the A Division Mug was decided by a play-off between Mandla Mthetwa and Mark Nero. Mandla walked away the victor. The B Division winner was Sibusiso Sithole on 70 net.

The Ladies Mug winner in the B Division was Debbie Catletton on 74 net and the winner of the C Division was Mel Janse van Rensburg on 84 net. Two clubs were carded by Billy Francis, Jo Khumalo and Shakeel Kalideen.

Please note that there will be a chicken run on Wednesday, July 29 over nine holes in the form of an IPS. On Friday, July 31, there will be a nine hole competition in the form of an IPS.

On Saturday, August 1, T Shirts 4 Afrika will be hosting a sponsored competition in the form of a 4 Ball Better Ball Stableford. Tee off is from 8am.

Lots of prizes to be won so get your names on the list in the Pro Shop. Entrance fee will be R150 which includes novelties and a medal after the game.

The Doctors Day
The Doctors Golf Day will be played on August 8 in the form of an IPS. The list will be in the Pro Shop. Lots of prizes to be won and novelties. Entrance fee will be R150 and includes a meal.

To the person who picked up a wedge and showed it to Rob Streak at the Sanlam Cancer Chipping Competition, please return it to the Pro Shop or to Stanley. The owner needs it badly.
