The weekend warriors play some of their matches at the ‘The Arena’ on the N3 close to Estcourt or at their home base
The Ladysmith Paintball Team braved the cold with a scenario event called ‘Operation Reindeer’ on Saturday.
This was loosely played out along the lines of the actual raid on May 4, 1978, when South African troops attacked a SWAPO base in Angola.
As usual, there was gunfire (paint fire) aplenty, with ducking and diving and hiding behind things to lie in wait for the enemy.
Never was war this much fun, with the only casualties being a bit of bruising (and maybe of the ego as well if you are on the losing team).
