Docrats fishermen hooked on winning
The angler of the season award went to Shabeer Pullen
Docrats Angling Club hosted their annual general meeting last week where members were rewarded for their fishing endeavours. The afternoon started off with the formalities and registration process.
However, the undoubted highlight was the awards ceremony and braai. Club members fished very competitively with the Club finishing second in the NFWAA 2014/15 season behind Itec Freepool. The club was victorious in the knock-out, defeating Dannhauser Angling Club.
Three internal events were also fished by the members: Champs of Champs, Club League and Knock-out doubles.
The heaviest scale fish was caught by Divesh Rughubeer (3.650 kg) and heaviest non-scale caught by Shervive Tedpaul (12.190kg).
The Champ of Champs winner: Shabeer Pullen, second Haroon Bosman and third Vishal Dookhi.
Club League winner: Vishal Dookhie second, Haroon Bosman and third, Naresh Gopie.
Association League winner: Shabeer Pullen, second Vishal Dookhi and third Junaid Iqbal.
Knock –out doubles winners: Junaid Iqbal and Fazel Amod.
